In such a short 3-4 weeks Guy has helped me feel so much better. My main problems have been my energy levels and stomach problems. He has helped me change my diet and that has increased my energy levels immensely, my stomach problems are getting better. I am now able to start exercising the way I want to and feel positive that I am back on track. I’m even really enjoying my new eating habits, which has surprised me most. I had been having trouble with my digestion for over 10 years and had gone through many of the routes that were on offer through the traditional health service. My IBS symptoms had reduced a little but were still causing me to feel low in energy, fatigued and bloated.
When I met Guy we discussed my health requirements, as I have a busy financial practice and am a keen, intermediate tennis player. We spend time discussing my history and following some detailed questionnaires laboratory tests were advised. We found out that I had several food sensitivities that had gone unnoticed by previous practitioners. I removed them from my diet and felt better within the week. Following some fine-tuning and subsequent modifications to my lifestyle and exercise plan, I feel in the best shape I have for over 20 years, and I now look pretty good for 41 years old (if I do say so my self). Earlier in the year I had a serious health scare, and turning 50 in the September made me stop and think about my own well-being – possibly for the first time in many years. I had been a typical busy working woman / mum / wife / carer. It wasn’t until I became seriously ill that I gave any thought to my own body’s needs.
Having plucked up the courage to walk into the Gym, fill in the forms and join, it soon became clear that there are a lot of people who are trying to do exactly the same as me – get fit and improve their lifestyle, so I was pleasantly surprised to fid that many members of were just like me. I attended the Pilates classes and swam regularly and started to notice a small but definite change in myself. This gave me the incentive to ask advice. As I felt that all aspects of my life and wellbeing needed looking at, and Guy had been recommended to me I contacted Guy and made the first appointment.
After an initial chat, I booked further sessions with Guy as I could see that he had the knowledge to help me change.
Guy took time to explain about nutrition, stress, bio rhythms – he sat with me, showing great patience and understanding. One of his strongest beliefs is that we should all believe in ourselves and our ability to change and improve our lives. By making simple but effective changes to my diet and to my thought processes Guy has managed to turn my life around. He would say that this was my doing, not his, but without him I couldn’t have started to make this level of change.
In more recent weeks, as my health and well-being has improved Guy has worked out a suitable exercise program, designed specifically for me and my goals which has taken my ability and belief in my ability to another level. I have lost over 3 stones in weight, but more importantly I have lost 4 dress sizes and increased my core strength immeasurably – and I still feel that I have some way to go, but with Guy”s help and support (and infectious sense of fun) I am confident that the journey will be a happy and rewarding one.
I believe that Guy’s strengths lie in his good communication skills, his genuine interest in all aspects of wellbeing – he is as hungry to learn as he is to teach, and his ability to recognise the needs of his clients and provide them with tailor made and effective programmes.

I was first introduced to Guy following abdominal surgery and my aim was to have just a few sessions to build up some strength and stamina for my return to work and an impending skiing holiday. However, it didn’t take me long to realise that the benefits I was getting from working with Guy were above and beyond anything I had felt from any exercise I had done in the past.
Although I had been regularly attending the gym for several years and exercising because it was the right thing to do, I had never really felt that it had made much difference. Guy has taught me that it is the effectiveness rather than the quantity of exercise that counts. He has devised programs specifically for my particular needs and goals. He always explains things clearly and patiently, constantly checking that I understand what I am doing and why. He knows just how much to push me so that I am realistically challenged without becoming too tired. In the past I would leave the gym exhausted. Now I leave energised and feeling stronger.
The really great thing about Guy is that his interest in you does not begin and end with your session in the gym. He is concerned with the whole person and he has really helped me improve my long term health through advice on diet and lifestyle. He takes great satisfaction in helping people and has a vast knowledge to be tapped into. He is a fantastic role model, an amazing motivator and on top of that he is great company and knows how to take the pain out of exercise by making you laugh! I was playing hockey 4-5 times per week, and my energy levels were dropping, my recovery seemed to be slower than it should have been and my skin problems were worse than ever, despite some changes to my diet that I had been recommended by a nutritionist, at 27 this seemed strange.
I found Guy through a gym I went to and called him up, we looked into my lifestyle and eating habits, there seemed to be nothing drastically wrong with my diet but the questionnaires revealed some signs of possible adrenal fatigue, we tested my cortisol levels and found them to be way out of balance, I knew I was stressed! This lead us to find out that I had picked up a stomach infection whilst traveling to Egypt on my gap year and I was still infected though I wasn’t having any major digestive issues, things seemed normal to me. We used some nutraceuticals and specific herbs to remove the infection and with in 2-3 months I had my life back, I was running hard and fast like I knew I could, and the next day I felt as if I could do it again, brilliant – energy. Over a similar period my skin has improved and now it has almost totally cleared.
All I can say is that if anyone is thinking of speaking to Guy about their health is go for it,it was the best thing for my health that have ever done, I haven’t looked back. – Marc Williams
